Jennifer Scholfield

Financial Adviser

Helping clients make confident financial decisions, especially within the inevitability of the changing circumstances of life is something Jennifer Scholfield finds tremendously rewarding. Most recent to becoming a financial advisor, Jen's field was Leadership, Team and Organization Development. Leveraging that experience, Jen has been able to develop a values and legacies-based facilitated process in her work with clients that consider both short-and long-term perspectives on family life, values and legacy and financial goals. The next stage of the process includes providing an education-first approach to investment choices. This allows clients to determine their path forward with greater clarity and confidence to turn their hard-earned dollars into their vision for their future.

She has lived in several countries throughout her life, has had some amazing experiences and responsibilities throughout her career.  Now as a licensed financial adviser, with a partnership with her husband Max in their own business, Jen is very excited to bring her cumulative background to this new career. She is dedicated to providing all active and prospective clients with a new standard of excellence in terms of what they can expect from their financial advisory partnerships, and is keen to understand yet another vastly different business discipline associated with how the financial world works.

Professionally, Jen is also among the first 2000 professionals obtaining the wealth management skill set of the future. The Certified Wealth Strategist® professional designation, administered by Cannon Financial Institute, recognizes those individuals demonstrating proficiency of the issues surrounding wealth advising to comprehensively address clients’ wealth management needs.  Jen is also developing a practice as a Retirement Coach, based on Mitch Anthony’s work in “The New Retirementality Planning Your Life and Living Your Dreams…at Any Age You Want”. There are a number of choices that goes into what happens in Retirement—it's more than just a number, and a little up-front thinking can save people a great deal of surprise and often painful lessons.

Additional to her leadership and coaching experience, Jen has earned functional business experience with nearly 20 years working for a number of companies including 3M, Merrill Lynch, and Boeing in marketing and sales positions, and has facilitated numerous strategic planning sessions as part of that work.

Jen’s international experience includes some level of competency speaking multiple languages and extensive training in effectively working within cultural differences. She lived outside the US in Italy, Switzerland and Canada for a total of four years, and has coached other Americans living abroad as to how to thrive in foreign cultures. She has also managed cross-cultural fundraising events and taught poetry at the American International School of Genoa.  Her volunteer work has also included being a District Director for the Special Olympics, responsible for coordinating logistics of City Managers and local volunteers to conduct event marketing, promotions and find temporary housing for athletes throughout four cities in the Twin City Metropolitan Area.

Jen has an undergraduate degree in International Relations from Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota and an MBA in International Business and Global Marketing from the Thunderbird School of Global Management in Glendale, Arizona. She also studied for a semester at La Scuola Delle Belle Arti in Genoa, Italy and spent a semester at Franklin College, Lugano, Switzerland with a focus on International Relations.

Jen moved back to the area, as a second generation Coloradan in 1999, and is glad to be closer to her extended family again. She's also an artist with a reverse painting style, and enjoys preparing fun meals for friends and spending the summer weekends especially camping at the local reservoirs.
